The Loreley valley, which is included in the UNESCO world heritage list, is certainly on of the most romantic spots in Germany. Nowhere else in the world can be found as many impressive castles, steep vine-growing hills, and narrow alleyways lined by traditional half-timbered houses as here. Nestling in this marvellous landscape and facing the Loreley rock the romantic castle hotel Schloss Rheinfels is set on a hilltop overlooking the Rhine river. The 4 star castle hotel, which was opened in 1973, is part of one of the biggest castle complexes in Germany.
